Davido Hails Himself and Wizkid as Pioneers of Nigerian Music Stardom, Acknowledges Rising Stars’ Dominance

In a viral interview, renowned Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, better known as Davido, proudly declared that he and Wizkid were the trailblazers among young Nigerian artists who achieved fame. The artist expressed his excitement at witnessing the rise of new talents such as Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun, and Asake, who are currently dominating the music industry.

Davido, the notable member of the 30 Billion Gang, confidently shared his thoughts, stating, “Wizkid and I were the first young artists to make a significant impact, and it feels great to see the emergence of new artists like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun, and even Asake, who featured on my album.”

He further expressed his belief that the future of Afrobeat is in good hands, given the talent displayed by these rising stars.
