What are O’level requirements?

The O’Level is the most important examination in the Nigerian educational system. It is taken by all students who have completed their secondary school education and are about to enter their university, polytechnics, or college of education school.

The examination is usually held twice a year, WAEC and GCE WAEC in May and NECO and NECO GCE in October.

The O’Level examinations are divided into three parts: the English Language, Mathematics, and Science subjects. In addition to these subjects, candidates must also complete Arts, General Paper, and Agriculture Paper.

Each subject has a set of compulsory questions which every candidate must answer correctly before they can be awarded an O’Level pass certificate.

The exams take place at various centers across the country where candidates sit for their papers in groups of 100 or more students each time.

The English Language examination consists of three papers: English Language (I), Literature (II), and English Language (III).

Candidates who wish to get an O’Level pass certificate must answer at least 60 questions correctly out of 80 on these papers.

In addition, they must write a short essay on any topic under three headings: How I See Myself as a Person? Why I Want to Study.

Why is O’level so important?

Students are required to take their O’level examination in order to be considered for admission into the university.

The students who have not sat for their O’level examination must complete it before they can register for any course at the institution.
