The Saudi Pro League is fast boasting of world-class stars come the 2023/2024 season. In this article, I’ll be providing the list of top foreign stars curreny in the Saudi Pro League.
The Saudi Pro League is set to flex its financial muscle by offering mammoth pay packages to lure European players to their league for the new season.
With the acquisition of the top four clubs in the league (Al Ittihad, Al Nassr, Al Hilal, and Al Ahli) by the Saudi Private Investment Fund (PIF), be rest assured that the competition will be immense and interesting by next season.
Al Ittihad has confirmed that Karim Benzema has joined them in a 3-year deal worth 100 million Euros per season, with an additional 20 million Euros to work as an ambassador for the 2030 FIFA World Cup which Saudi Arabia hopes of winning the bid.
Ngolo Kante on the other hand is also set to join Benzema to Al Ittihad as a free agent after a 2-year deal of the same 100 million Euros per season was agreed. Final details are been sorted out with the club directors and the PIF Saudi delegation to conclude this deal.
Wilfred Zaha is also on the verge of joining Ronaldo’s Al Nassr after an agreement is reported to have been struck. Zaha’s signature is what is remaining before the deal is finalized and announced.
Messi will no longer be joining Al Hilal, even after the club offered him a whooping package of 500 million Euros per season, with further stating that the offer would be increased to 1.2 million Euros by next season for two years.
With the World Cup winner all but set to sign for Inter Miami (an MLS franchise co-owned by David Beckham), it will serve as a major blow for Al Hilal, and so for Barcelona who have been trying to bring him back to Camp Nou.
